Cochin
The dream destination of sailors |
 I first came to Cochin in the year 1986 as part of the Indian Army`s Corps of Engineers Sailing Expedition. The expedition, having been flagged off from Bombay (now Mumbai) in Albatross and Rajhans, the Sea Bird Class of boats, was to sail along the Western Coast of India upto Kochi and return back to Mumbai thereafter. It was love at first sight with this ‘Queen of the Arabian Sea’ which presented a perfect blend of quintessential charm of tradition and modernity.
